Levi Kelley
Organist
Levi Kelley is currently a doctoral student in Church Music - Organ at the University of Kansas. At KU, he teaches organ lessons and accompanies the Bales Choral Society. He earned his bachelor's degree from BYU-Idaho and his master's degree in organ performance from BYU. His organ instructors include Daniel Kerr, Neil Harmon, Don Cook, Michael Bauer, and most recently, Wolfgang Reisinger. While at BYU-Idaho, Levi served as the editor for the Hymn Festival, where new hymn texts are commissioned and put to music. At BYU, he taught group organ classes and private lessons in both organ and carillon. He joined the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America and passed the guild's Carillonneur exam in June 2024. He occasionally plays Sunday evening recitals at the KU World War II Memorial Campanile and Carillon.
Levi enjoys building Lego models, playing games with family, and reading fantasy novels. He and his wife, JaNay, are the parents of three children, with one more on the way (due in November)!
