Edward Poston
Organist
Edward Poston is a native of Clearfield, Utah. He holds a bachelor degree in Organ Performance from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and a Master’s degree in Church Music and Organ from the University of Kansas. He began piano studies at age four, and began playing the organ at age eight. In high school, he played the violin and cello and conducted his high school orchestra. During the past thirteen years, Edward has served Protestant and Catholic denominations as organist and music director in Utah, Idaho, Kansas, and Missouri. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Kansas studying Church Music and Organ with Michael Bauer and Carillon with Elizabeth Berghout. An avid collaborator, Edward is a rehearsal pianist for the KU Chamber Singers, and organist at Trinity Lutheran Church at South Park in Lawrence, KS. Mr. Poston enjoys traveling abroad, going to Royal’s baseball games, watching WWII movies, painting with watercolor, and solving word puzzles.Â
