Trinity Lutheran Church

Welcome from the Pastor

Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church

We welcome you to the website of Trinity Lutheran Church, located in Lawrence, Kansas.

Our mission is to be a "Place of Grace with a Call for All to Continue the work of Jesus." Our prayer is that we as a community continue to discern what it means to be God's hands and feet in the world. We acknowledge that God calls everyone to participate in ministry, from the youngest infants to the oldest adults, and we encourage our members to discover what that means for them.   Whether it is here in the church building, at home, or at a place of work, your call to serve God's people is important and it takes many forms.

We encourage you to explore this site and get a glimpse of what it means for Trinity to be a "Place of Grace with a Call for All to continue the work of Jesus."

Peace, Pastor Mark

Sunday's "Noisy Offering" to help fight malaria brought in $568.60!  Thanks to all who contributed and the children who passed the pails for the collection. The ECLA has a five-year goal to raise $15 million to fight the disease, and 80% has already been raised. If you missed the collection, you can still contribute -- just write a check to Trinity with "malaria" on the memo line or your envelope. Remember, malaria, a mosquito-borne infectious disease, is preventable and curable!

Help Keep Pets & Families Together -- Last year's "Fill the Bowl" campaign at Trinity brought in over 100 pounds of pet food to share with the Lawrence Humane Society. Now our Evangelism Committee is launching a new campaign to help folks who need food assistance for their pets -- so they don't have to turn them over for adoption because they can't afford to feed them. TLC will start a "Pet Food Pantry" to collect pet food to be distributed in the community to those who need it.  There's a table at TLC to collect your donations. More details on how it will be distributed will be worked out by the committee soon. Questions?  Want to help? See Susan Hadl or Bruce and Joan Wohlers.
